Sorry I've not been around much this week. I've been suffering with headaches and have felt quite tired but OK today. I think the rain arriving helped clear the air. Anyway, enough of that, I really want to let you know that the winner of the little anniversary draw is: MRS PAO. I bought the (below) little East of India, Union Jack heart from John Lewis last week. It was a toss up between the CK pin tin or this and I don't know about you but I love all the trendy Union Jack items that are cropping up everywhere this Spring. So hurry Mrs Pao and send me your address details so I can pack this up along with a few other haberdashery items and post it to you before I change my mind! LOL. I hope you'll like it.
The veggie plot is looking good. There are beans, potatoes, carrots, garlic, mustard lettuce leaves (lovely and peppery) and already tasted as have the yummy radishes. DH is responsible for all of this and we've gained another greenhouse too (just seen in the corner). It was his late Father's and I'm sure he would have been very pleased to know that it is being used again.
On to have a peek in the original little greenhouse which is filled to the brim and has my two hanging baskets growing nicely on the right. I never put the baskets out until Whit weekend and then only if it's dry and not windy.
Finally the clematis is a it's very best this year along the old garage wall. These pretty pink small flowers still makes me think of those beautiful but very expensive Sophie Digard necklaces.
Did anyone see Kirstie last night? Oh the spinning and the gorgeous house of Vanessa Arbuthnott. The bird fabric cushion was my favourite. What about last week and the lovely knitting? I've just sent for a little house doorstop kit.
Have a great weekend everyone. Hope it will be sunny and dry.

I can't believe it I nearly bought that heart the other day, it is sooo georgeous and the garden looks good.

Your garden looks fantastic - you have obviously worked very hard! We're trying some veg. this year but I don't think it'll be as impressive as yours...! Kirstie was good - I liked the patchwork. Anyone brave enough to invite Kirstie into their home for the new series?!

The garden looks great. What a sweet union jack heart - a good choice. I've followed Susie before (the knitting lady on Kirstie's programme) as she is fairly local to me. Her website is www.thewoolsanctuary.com but you may have found that already. Hope all's well and you're feeling better. Take care X

That Union Jack heart is lovely! I too love all the union Jack items which seem to be all over the place. It is so kind of you to be giving away an anniversary prize! Your veg patch looks great, so neat and tidy.
I really enjoyed Kirstie last night, I loved her hand made patchwork quilt, that was lovely.
Take Care
