I have had a few people ask me if I intend to keep blogging and yes I certainly do. So here is a catch up post going back over the last month or so. This post is especially for Sarah's Grandma (Jamie's girlfriend) who reads my ramblings on her very own iPad. She is also a very accomplished knitter and made some lovely knitted gloves last year. Julie of the gorgeous Little Cotton Rabbits is a bloggy friend who I have chatted to over the years and her amazing knitting and crochet skills and strength of characted never case to amaze me.
So please sit back and join me on this rather long photo journal. The snaps are all taken with my phone. I am still in love with Instagram and the lovely community I have met on there. Many of whom are fellow knitting and crochet bloggers. The beauty of Instagram is that it is so easy to use and well, so instant.
The first photo (above) was taken on the beach yesterday. Alfie heard the Canadian Geese before me and I saw his head turned and wondered what he was looking at. This was one of the times when I could have kicked myself for not bringing along my Nikon.

I really rather like the filters that you can use on Instagram. What do you think?

So cold yesterday - you know the sort of cold that cuts right through you even when you are wearing a hooded top and a hooded coat and a t shirt and a jumper. Well it is the east coast. Alfie loves it though.

I'm still working on his little Elmer blanket. But it's getting close to the finish now.

We've had some amazing skies in recent weeks with this very cold weather.

It's nice to capture them on camera.

Then of course, there is the snow that we actually got quite late here on the coast. Last Sunday and Monday were the worst. Would you like to see a few more snaps?

The incoming tide was quite strong. Have a look and see ::

A quick sprint (lol) up the steps to safety ::

Phew, how close was that?

More snow photos?

DH built a snowman on top of the chiminea. We can't find the cover for it! Happy little face.

Lots of snow on the beach, too. Alfie had a great time.

The garden looked pretty.

Ooooooh look at the summer house.

But what about the corner of the conservatory!

What's that on top of Lily?

Just playing around with my Bday present from Sophie.

What else have I been up to?

I made a slouch hat in Debbie Bliss's BFL Aran. Burnt Orange.

I went to London the week before the snow came. My new obsession - Game of Thrones books.

Tried out a new square for a new blanket that I am planning. Venetian Star. No one in First Class battered an eyelid. (Cheap upgrade on cheap tickets). Slummed it on the way home with drunken football supporters - not pleasant. Am I such a snob??????

So off to London to meet up with dear Sarah and Jamie. We went to the East End, the West End and had a walk along the Thames. The original intention was to get tickets for the last day of the Pre-Raphaelite exhibition at the Tate Britain but the advance tickets had sold out.

I've wanted to go to Brick Lane for ages and particularly to go to the Bagel Shop. (Anne Marie, if you are reading is this where you get your bagels from for your cafe?) The shop was packed and the staff ever so nice. Where can you get a smoked salmon and cream cheese filled bagel for £1.60 anywhere, let alone in London? We all stuffed our faces and brought some bagels and fruit bread home for DH. Brick Lane was shabby in places and the streets were quite dirty. The vintage/antique/craft stalls and market reminded me of Antiquarius on the King's Road in the mid to late 70s but not so good, sadly. Are there really any real antiques left? The 60s were the best days for Portobello Road and local Norfolk/Suffolk auctions. I know, as I went to these place frequently as a child.

On our way back to the tube, Sarah spotted this wooden box in a nearby by deli - notice the local connection. Of course, it would be rude not to go in and sample the coffee and tea.

Delish.

Sarah, who works for NOTHS, bought me this lovely crochet bag for my bday and a chocolate teddy bear. Thanks, I love the connection to Game of Thrones.

Yet, more coffee as we had to sample the delight of Nespresso on Regent Street as Jamie had a coffee machine for Christmas. Love their style.

On to All the Fun of the Fair and these fun knitted cacti. Buzz, you were closed, never mind, next time.

Of course, we went to Liberty, where I was very restrained and just bought one ball of red lurex thread. I hope to incorporate this in the new blanket. We went to Covent Garden and then to find more food - it was quite late by then, very cold and we had walked miles. Jamie always says just another 10 minutes and then and hour later we are still walking. He had the biggest chicken pie for one that I had ever seen.

Poor Sarah was freezing. We walked along the embankment to Temple and then got the Tube up to Tower Hill for a look at the Tower and river.

I couldn't walk past Laduree without making a little purchase - this was earlier in the day.

Just enough for me and DH to enjoy.

Before I go, I have to show you where my friend took me for afternoon tea on the day after my Bday. Yes, the Blakeney Hotel - all lit up. Very nice.

Then just a few more beach shots. What a sunset.

See you all soon, please don't forget to leave a comment. Zoe x
